The Singles Collection: CONFIRMED!!

It has been confirmed that Britney Spears will be releasing her new greatest hits album "The Singles Collection" along with the new single, "3." "3" is due for release on September 29, 2009. The new album will come in two versions, standard version, which contains 17 of Britney's previous singles and the new single, "3," and the ultimate fan box set which will contain two discs containing all of her 29 singles plus her new single "3." Each disc in the collectors' set will come in its own slip sleve in a boxed collection. Along with this set will be a DVD featuring all of Spears's videos in chronological order. Another addition to the collector's item will be an exclusive booklet with iconic pictures and fun facts from Spears's videos. The new album is set for release on Tuesday, November 24, 2009.

As we all saw, there was no performance by Britney at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. However, Britney did win "The Ultimate Choice Award." Well, even though there wasn't a performance, there's always the VMAs 2009. Hopefully, we'll see one there!!!

We all know Britney Spears as the VMA queen...most of the time. Last year (2008), Britney was nominated for and won three categories for her video, "Piece Of Me." At the young age of 17, Britney performed her her VMA show with a remix of her debut single, "...Baby One More Time." As the years went by, she filled the show with strip teases, snakes, and smooches with Madonna. After filling the tabloids with her performance of "Gimme More" in 2007, Spears went on to win three "Moon Men" in 2008. This year in 2009, we all hope to see Britney be nominated for and win a few awards. The nominations won't be known for another couple of weeks but when they are, lets all hope to see Britney win and maybe even perform!

Britney Spears, who suffered a very public meltdown in 2007, hit the scene when she was only 16 years of age with her debut single, "...Baby One More Time." Releasing her most recent album Circus in 2008, Spears embarked on a world tour in March. The tour, ending in Australia in November, grossed $24 million with only the first 13 concerts. Britney, turning 28 this year, reached #2 on Forbes Top-Earning Young Musicians.

Rumors of Britney Spears 's seventh studio release have been flooding the internet. According to Fernando Garibay, a song writer, he is working on Spears's upcoming release. Britney has also said on her Twitter that she was in the studio with Max Martin, who colaberated with Spears on her first two albums. There is also a rumored name of one of the tracks of the new album. According to http://britneyspearsblackout.com/ it is called "Dirty Girl." The album is said to be released in Spring of 2010.
